Death Valley

Selected photos from our 30th Anniversary weekend in Death Valley, California, March 1, 2003. We had all kinds of weather, from 4" of snow going over the mountain to Pahrump to sunshine on Friday, and more snow and rain and sun on Saturday. Death Valley is an amazing place, with all kinds of geologic formations. We really enjoyed our weekend.

Death Valley from Dante's View, an incredible sight.              Zabriskie Point.

Golden Canyon, Red Cathedral.                                                   Near Badwater, Lowest point in the United States.

Natural Bridge - 46 foot span.                                                     Artist's Palette, Artist's Drive.

Ubehebe crater, volcano produced.                                         Salt Creek, we saw the unique and rare Salt Creek pupfish.

Mosaic canyon, pink marble, very pretty.                                One of the many alluvial fans in the park.
