My earliest direct line Terrell ancestor was my great-great-great Grandmother Grace 'Gracie' Terrell, born around 1800 in South Carolina. As to her parents, it is my strong belief that she was the daughter of Dr. Ed Terrell and Elizabeth Massey. At this time I have not been able to prove my theory with documents. But her great Grand-daughter, I believe, was named for her: GRACE SESSION MASSEY.If my theory prooves to be correct, then I can take the Terrell line back much further.Much of the earliest Terrell data was so generously shared by other researchers. I also found much information in the Terrell Newsletter "Terrell Trails" which I incorporated into my data.
