It has come to my attention that there are those who feel that any information
regarding living people is not appropriate for publication on a web site. We will
continue to include names, dates and other bits of information for our living
contemporaries on our sites for the following reasons:

1. I started doing genealogy in an effort to give my descendants a sense of
their roots, an appreciation of their ancestors that have gone before them, and
an introduction to cousins they may never meet otherwise. A picture of their
past and their present is not complete without the inclusion of living people,
as well.

2. A genealogy without dates is useless for the above purpose. It is merely a
collection of names, or worse, the word "living", without any reference
whatsoever to the time frame of their lives, the area of the world they inhabit,
the customs that influence their life choices that have, perhaps, been handed
down.

3. A genealogy without names and dates for the living effectively eliminates
most of the last century. Having lived during that century, I wish it to be
included. However, if you wish to have your name and information removed, we will
gladly do so upon receipt of your email.
