IN MEMORY OF MY DAD
Philip Joseph Sukup
Aug 29, 1930 - Apr 12, 2008

This page is a memorial to my Dad. He lived through the depression, fought in the Korean War,
and farmed the majority of his life in Creighton,Nebraska.
He also sold DeKalb seed corn and built Butler Bins and Sukup Mfg. Sheds through his business Sukup Farm Supply,Inc.
He spent many hours restoring his old tractors. He loved watching Lawrence Welk, The Muppets, and Looney Tunes.
Miss you Dad! Love you always!

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

HOW GREAT THOU ART

A Christian Hymn
Lyrics by Carl Boberg

O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

      Chorus
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

Chorus

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin

Chorus

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Chorus
