Died 9 Nov. 1980 at age 82, St. Joseph, Berrien co., Mich. Resided at 1603 S. State St., St. Joseph, Mich. WIFE -- Norah Brackett. 
CHILDREN -Burton's former sister-in-law, Elsie (Stines) Ott wrote that "Burton died 9 Nov. 1980 at age 82, the last one of that family Had no wife and no children left; only Elsie's son and daugher relatives (his brother's children). Burton has two more nieces left but they are out west somewhere." (=46rom Elsie's letter to - M. Y. Aday in 1980. Elsie said she would have liked to have gone to his fimeral but was not able to do so).

Note: There is a Francis M. Loshbough (1844), son of Mrs. Anny Loshbaugh; who ind. a Rebecca Barton in Dec. 1866. Could be a connection here with Francis'middle name "Burton."

Died in 190 1; tombstone dates 1834-1901, City Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mich. Family record gives 1858 marriage, Niles, Mich. WIFE -- Mary Elizabeth Hudson, b. 24 Jan. 1840, Delaware; dau. of James C. and Mary Hudson; ae 40-1880. In 1910 Mary res. with son and wife, Win. and Etta Loshbough. She died on 9 Jan. 1915, at St. Joseph and burial is in the City Cemetery at St. Joseph. Tombstone dates 1840-1915.

In the 1860 Census, there are listed with the family in addition to the first child Ida: -- Eliza Hudson, age 6 and Wilhelmina Hudson, age 4. In 1880 Wilhelmina Benson, sister-in-law to Francis and Sam F. Benson, brother-in-law. Also in 1880, Maud, age 4, b. Indiana, niece to Francis Loshbough. Later in the 1900's Clara Hudson, b. ca 1893, b. Ind. and Mrs. Francis (Mazy E. Hudson) Loshbough resided with Mary's son, William F. Loshbough and his wife, Etta, in St. Joseph, Michigan.

Another informant was Mrs. Margaret Loshbough, wife of Harry Augustus Loshbough (b. 1887), son of child No. 4, Frederick Alonzo Loshbough. Mrs. Margaret Loshbough said William (child No. 3) raised Clara Hudson; who had a sister Bernice living near Niles, Michigan in 1957.
