LOESCHBACH, Anna Friedrica (1827) See father, Johann Loeschbach (ca 1800) of Pr. Rhineland, Solingen. It is not known at this time whether this is one of our early Loshbough family members, but the name is very similar. However, our ancestors came to America in the mid-1750's.

LOSIHBOUGH, Antonius, (Anthony or Arthur) William (1841) HUSBAND -- Anthony William. Loshbough, b. Nov. 184 1, Indiana; s. of John Alexis Loshbough and Catherine Martin. Anthony states his father b. Penn., and his mother b. in Germany. Res. in 1900's at 501 South St., South Bend, Ind. He died at the age of 74 on 27 Dec. 1915 in South Bend, Ind., WPA Death Records, City of South Bend; CH47/408. Burial in Bowman Cemetery 1915; birth year 1941; Graves Registration WPA Project in 1938, page 22. He is shown as Antonius William., age 7-1949 in the St. Joseph Palish Register, Bertrand, Mich.; as age 9, b. Ind. in Federal Census Berrien co., Mich 1850. Does not appear in the 1860 Census. On April 10, 1864 he was one of the witnesses for the wedding of Mary Losbough and Martin Green at Niles, Mich. In 1870 Census he is listed as Anthony Lushbaugh, age 26, Bertrand twp., Berrien co.; b. Indiana; farmer. In the Berrien County Director of 187 1, page 129, Anthony Losbaugh is listed as a farmer in Section 10, residence 17, Bertrand twp. Later his occupation is shown as blacksmith. Married about 1867: WIFE -- Mary L., b. July 1841 in Indiana. Mary states f b. Penn. and m---2E in Kentucky. In 1900 she and her husband had been married 33 years; she has had five children, all living m 1900.

Stoll, p. 372, "Anthony W. and Mary Loshbough had a daughter. Louise E., who married 19 Jan. 1891 to Walter Cyrus Miller (b. Jan. 2 1869, son of Cyrus B. and Mary (Warner) Miller.")
