b. 2 Mar. 1887 (twin of Alfred Hiram), in Reamsville, Martin twp., Smith
co., Kansas.; s. of Albert Dennis Loshbaugh and Mary Ann Drake. Died 25
Dec. 1960 in his sleep at his home in McCook, Red Willow co., Nebr.; buried
at the McCook cemetery. Married his brother-in-law Dwight Young's sister
at the home of her parents near Athol, Smith co., Kansas., on 28 Oct. 1914:
WIFE -- (11 st) Gertrude Euphemia. Young, b. 31 Dec. 1888, Smith co., Kansas--2E,
daughter. of John Walling Young and Sarah Rebecca Wherry. Gertrude d. on
17 Oct. 1915, three weeks after the birth of their first child on 27 September,
at McCook, Red Willow co., Nebr. Burial in the Young family plot at Fairview
Cemetery, one mile north of Athol, Kansas.

Engels, b. 10 July 1902, Callaway, Custer co., Nebr. They were divorced
but later Almon and Elma remarried on 19 July 1931 at Pocatello, Idaho.
She later was divorced from Almon a second time and md. a second husband,
by whom she had no children. She and second husband are deceased.

Obituary:
Almon L. Loshbaugh, 73, died at his home in McCook, Sunday. He was
born March 2,1887 at Reamsville, Kansas. and had made his home in McCook
since 1953. He was retired from his work in the Union Pacific railroad
shops and was a World War 11 veteran. Survivors include one son, Howard
of McCook; two daughters, Mrs. Alta Stuber, Renton, Wash., and Mrs. June
Oakley, Enumclaw, Wash.; three brothers, a twin brother Hiram of Dubuque,
Iowa; Chauncey of Denver; and Henry of California; one sister Mrs. Zetta
Ready, Denver, and twelve grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday
at the Herrmann Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leon Prentice officiating.
Interment will be made in the Memorial Cemetery (McCook). There will be
a Military Guard of Honor at the grave. LOSHBAUGH, Alva Alva Loshbaugh
address in 1982, Claremore, Okla. "We are getting old; also 11 have one
brother in Kansas and two sisters still living. 11 had a stroke in 198
1. Mary Mehrholz visited us several years past. My wife Ethel and 11 still

anniversary in 1978."
