LORENTZ, Eva Rose (1782) See father, Maurice Lorentz or Lorenz. LORENTZ, Ferdinand (ca 1750's-?) 14USBAND -- Ferdinand Lorentz (surname also shown as Laurence, Lawrence, Lorens). Info. from W9140 Pension Claim by widow for Revolutionary War Service of husband. He served in the German Regiment, Maryland Militia. Enlisted as a Private in the regiment, serving three years from 1776 and was discharged on 15 July 1779. His widow applied for pension on 6 Nov. 1838. He died in Baltimore, Md. about 1805. WIFE -- He md. Elizabeth in the Catholic Church Cathedral in Baltimore, Md. in 1781. The church records of the time were "imperfectly kept" and the marriage record not found although baptismal records were located. CHILDREN -- All baptized in Catholic Cathedral of Baltimore. The baptismal
records were signed by Asst. Pastor Charles 1. White, Cathedral of Baltimore,
on 20 Sept. 1838.
Although we can not confirm the exact relationship between the Lorentz and Loshbaugh families, we do know there is a close connection. Wendel Lorentz, b 1759 served in the same German Regiment with his brother Joseph Lorentz and with Henry Loshbaugh. Above Ferdinand has. named a son Wendel who was b. in 1783. |
