1/2 cup

Shortening
Margarine
Sugar
Eggs Separated
Flour Sifted
Soda
Buttermilk
Can Flake Coconut
for cake
for the filling

FILLING

Margarine
Cream Cheese
Confection's Sugar Sifted
Vanilla
Salt
Chpped Nuts

1. Blend Shortening and oleo
2. Add: Sugar gradually & beat  until fluffy
3. Add" Egg yolk 1 at a time til beaten well.
4. Sift flower and soda together
5. Add: 1 2/3 Cups Coconut to batter.
6. Beat egg white till stiff peaks form. Fold into batter.
7. Pour into a greased floured 9" pan
8. Bake 350 for 25-30 min.
 

Filling

1. Mix margarine and Cream Cheese
2. Add: Sugar
3. Add: Vinilla and salt
4. Beat until fluffy
5. Use 1 cup Coconut and 1/2 Cup nuts to garnish
