Isaac D. Jackson
b. 1807 Virginia

b. 1813 Tennesee
His sons death certificate states that he was born in North Carolina. The Virginia place of birth comes from the 1850 census.

Johann Conrad Lorsbach

Religion: Protestant (Reformed) (?)
Married:   November 17,1748 Faulkner Swamp Reformed Church to
Susannah Herb
b. abt. 1728
d. Bet. 1753 - 1824

His descendants live in the USA. He was possibly a soldier possibly as
zwangsrekrutierter or came here illegally. His name can not be found on the passenger lists on emigrant ships of that time. (zwangsrekrutierter = force recruiter?)

Johann Conrad is the son of Johann Henrich Lorsbachwho was born in 1680 in Lampertheim, Germany and Anna Christinalast name unknown.
His Step Father's name was Johann Wilhelm Bechtold may have used the name to immigrate

1728 His Father died.

Sept. 9, 1729 at a Nachkvmmling of the family of Johann Georg Hauck. (Nachkömmling = descendant? family reunion?)

9/16/1729 Acted as God Father (at age 7) for the family of Johann Georg Hauck godfather for Johann Conrad Hauck

March 6, 1735 verstrab his mother. Easters  (verstrab = verstorben = deceased)

1736 First Admission to Holy Communion

1746 his stepfather Johann Wilhelm Bechthold. Died

1748 Got married at Faulkner Swamp Reformed Church, PA

Oct. 16, 1749 he is mentioned in the newspaper  " Sowers Newspaper "  as resident in Goshenhoppen (gutter courts).

2/2/1756 Acted as a witness to the will of Jacob Hauck (Oxforth Twp.).

Feb. 10, 1762 His wife Susannah Herb gave birth to an illegitimate child of
Georg Gabel .

Johann Conrad is beleived to be the father of Henry Lushbaugh born 1751.  I would like to be able to prove that.  I am also looking for some sort of immigration record.  I have searched the available records for ther Port of Philadelphia and have found nothing.  All trace of him has been lost between the years of 1736 and 1748.

If there is a Will it can not be found as we lose track of him in 1757.
Perhaps he had an accident on the way back from a visit with his friend
Jacob Hauck. Or he could have become part of a party and migrated south. On the other hand he could have come back home and tried finding a new home in the Shenandoah Valley. Another possibility is that he returned to Germany for some reason.

"You know sometimes I look around and if feels like the Loshbaugh name has almost been erased from time (well at least before 1751).  Sometimes I think that maybe a positive fantasy is better than a blank page full of truths......... better to live in legend than not at all." - 03/18/02 Robert Loshbaugh - on the publishing of inaccurate family information.
