● Robert Burley of Wiltshire mar. Elizabeth dau. and co-heir of John Bonham. They had issue

1. John Burley.
2. Walter Burley, of whom presently.
3. Thomas Burley of Easterton in Wiltshire. He mar. Christian daughter of John Pyerse of Dorset and had issue

i. Edmund or Edward Burley of Whistley, near Potterne in Wiltshire. He married Jane daughter of WALTER MERVYN of Fonthill Gifford in Wiltshire by his 2nd wife MARY daughter of JOHN MOMPESSON of Bathampton in Wiltshire. They had issue

(1). George Burley of Whistley, eldest son and heir, who was living in 1565, by which date he had married Eleanor Jephson of Froyle in Hampshire and had issue

(i). Richard Burley.
(ii). Edward Burley.
(iii). Robert Burley.
(i). Jane Burley.
(ii). Joan Burley.
(iii). Margaret Burley.
(iv). Millicent Burley.
(v). Elizabeth Burley.

One of the sons noted above was probably father of a

George Burley of Whistley, whose son

William Burley, was born about 1604. He matriculated a commoner of Magdalen College, Oxford on 28th February 1623 aged 19.

(2). Joan Burley, who married William Hubbard of Poulshot in Wiltshire.

(5). Anne Burley who married John Gauntlet of Poulshot.
(6). Mary Burley, wife of Ralph Lambourne of Wiltshire.

i. Agnes Burley, who married firstly Tristram Keynes of Dorset, and secondly Richard Bundy.
ii. Joan Burley, wife of Thomas Reade of Devizes in Wiltshire.
iii. Eleanor Burley.
iv. Margaret Burley.

● Walter Burley of Devizes mar. Margaret dau. of Thomas Browe of Wiltshire. They had issue,

1. Richard Burley, of whom presently.
1. Elizabeth Burley, wife of Richard Peede.
2. Mary Burley, wife of Richard Matthew or Machen.

The son,
● Richard Burley was of Middleton Hall in Longparish, Hampshire, which was farmed of Lord Delaware. He mar. Agnes Ingram. Richard died in 1541 and Agnes in 1557. They were buried in Longparish Church having had a son,

● William Burley of Longparish. Living in 1575. He mar. Sybil dau. of Sir Edward Chamberlain of Sherborne in Oxfordshire.
Probably a brother or son of the last mentioned was

● GEORGE BURLEY of Longparish. He had a daughter,

● ANNE BURLEY, who mar. in 1589 JOHN RYVES of Ranston in Dorset. She was buried on 12th April 1609 leaving issue four sons and four daughters (see RYVES).
