| Biography* | | Coral was the daughter of Broxon Yarbrough and Emily Miriam (Culpepper) Carlisle. She was born and raised in Flatrock, AL which was near Almond to the west of Wadley, AL. She was noted there with her parents in the 1900 census.
In 1910, Coral married Abner Coker and they settled down to raise their family in Roanoke, AL. In the late 1920's, the family moved to La Grange, GA and this is where Abner died in 1929.3 Coral was 43 years old. In 1978, James Burie Clegg wrote4 that "Aunt Coral is quite an accomplished artist and still paints." Coral died in 1983 at the age of 97. |
