Biography* Census: 1910 Wadley, Randolph Co., AL (vol 97 ED 148 sheet 2 (Sarah E. 40 wife in hh of Walker Pearson) Census: 1920 Wadley, Randolph Co., AL (ED 149 sheet 2 line 31 (Sarah E. 50 AL in hh of son Ellis H. Pearson) Sarah Elizabeth was the daughter of William Araspes and Zillah Ann Caroline (Barron) Culpepper. She was noted as a one year old with her parents in the 1870 census of Louina P. O. District of Randolph Co., AL and this is probably where she was born. This area is in the vicinity of what is now known as Wadley, AL. Sarah was also noted living with her parents in the 1880 cenus of Randolph Co., AL. Based on the age of their oldest known child, Sarah married Walker Pearson around 1887 and they settled down to raise their children. Sarah was 73 years when she lost her husband. She died in 1945 at the age of 75.

Biography* E. Hurley Pearson, Jr. in a 12 Mar 1979 letter notes that Walker and Walter Pearson were twins. However, Walter's tombstone in the Almond Cemetery lists his date of birth as 19 Apr 1863 and Walker's tombstone in the Wadley Cemetery lists his date of birth as 19 Apr 1864. Since the month and year of Walker Pearson's birth was given as April 1864 in the 1900 census, this was selected as the year of birth of the twins.

Biography* Ola Mae was the daughter of James F. G. and Valula Ann (Seymour) Culpepper. She was born and raised in Alabama. Unfortunately, the 1890 census records were burned so it is not known if the family was in Chambers or Randolph Co., AL at the time. By the 1900, the family was in Chambers Co., AL where Ola was noted with her parents in the census there and this is where she married Loomis Veazey in 1905. At some point, the couple moved to Tifton, Tift Co., GA and this is where Ola died in 1947 at the age of 57.
