Biography* Mabel B. Culpepper was the daughter of John Francis and Florence (Johnson) Culpepper. She was born and raised in Arkansas where she was noted with her parents in 1900 census records. She was nine years old when her father was killed. In 1915, she married Frank Tidwell and they settled down to raise their family. Mabel lost her husband to lung cancer in the late 1930's. She died in 1984 at the age of 86.

Unfortunately, her mother has not been located in 1910 census records. Frankie is noted living with her older sister in 1920 census records. In 1922, she married J. Fair Shadden. Frankie was 67 years old when she died.
