George Bright Culpepper, who noted: Lucy Shannon was the name given the sixth child of Henry and Mattie Brewton. She was born in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia, on July 28, 1897. She married a man named Jackson from Cuthbert, Georgia. They had two daughters, the first of whom died in infancy. The other, Dorothy Louise Jackson, recently graduated from the University of North Carolina. Lucy is separated from her husband of necessity and now lives in High Point, North Carolina. She works for a government agency.

Biography* From Thomas Fogarty: He was the man who built the building that the old film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was filmed. His building that he planned and built is called the L.B. Jackson building and is in Asheville, North Carolina, where Dorothy Louise Jackson (as my family calls her, Grandma Dot) was born. L.B. later married Marguerite Garland and had a son, L.B., Jr., who is still alive to this day and lives in Virginia."1
