Another cousin sent me the attached page from Nimrod and Sarah Yarbrough's Bible. We had always assumed that Walantz/Walanty was female........my grandmother (d/o Commodore Anson Y.) was named Wylantha Josephine Catherine Yarbrough.

If you look at the y's in May, Harvey, July and then look at the z in Izadore......I'm convinced that the name is Walanty. Also, the cousin has a copy of a poem from John Ripley Y. to his favorite sister W.C.

Cousin Karen says: "I need an answer as to why my grandmother Estelle Yarbrough Jones had the correspondence that J.R. sent from VA to Walantz(y)in 1862.Both Estelle and Walantz were living in East Texas at the same time.".1
