Biography* Betty Lee Collins Hale wrote, 9 Jan 1978, that as a young child, she remembered Hazel Crosby riding up to the Paul J. Crosby house the day that he died. "How beautiful I thought she was on that huge horse. I wanted to grow up as pretty as she was so I could ride a horse like that." Hazel later died from cancer of the left eye.

      Another child was supposed to have been born Oct 1918. In Nov 1993 notes Lee recorded the name as Juanita and gave the date of birth as 2 Mar 1920 based on records from Juanita's nephew, John Allen Sharps, Jr.
