(Betty Lee Collins) excerpted the following obituary from p. 2 of the Moultrie Observer Saturday afternoon 22 Oct 1960: Berlin Resident taken by Death, Rites Sunday Berlin, Ga., Mrs. R. J. Rogers, Sr., died at 6:05 am Saturday in Vereen Memorial Hospital. She was ill 4 days. A resident of the Berlin area for 40 years, Mrs. Rogers was born August 1, 1888 in Norman Park. She was a member of the Berlin Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Sunday in the Methodist Church with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. A. L. Dolloff of Alapaha will officiate with Rev. Brooks Partain, assisting. Berlin Methodist Church. Greene - Gregory Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survivors include 2 sons: John A. Rogers, Berlin R. J. Rogers, Tifton 4 daughters: Miss Leonora Rogers, Berlin Mrs. A. C. Goss, Sales City Mrs. J. R. Tillman, Adel Mrs. G. E. Wade 2 brothers: N. A. Sellers, St. Augustine C. A.
