Hechler. - On Saturday morning at 8 o’clock, Mrs. Hannah Hechler, wife of Jacob Hechler, aged 63 years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral from her late residence in Spring Township, without further notice, on Thursday morning at 8:30 o’clock. Services at the house; interment at Seitzinger’s burial grounds.”

Jacob Heckler was of Scottish descent. When a young man he came to Berks county from Chester county, Pa. He had learned the milling business and upon locating in this locality he opened the old Schwartz mill, near the Pennsylvania bridge on the Schuylkill river. He operated the mill for several years, and later re-moved to Spring township, where he operated a farm for some time, dying in that township. His wife's maiden name was Adams. They were the parents of the following children: Charles, Augustus, William A., Henry, Anna, Thomas, and one that died in infancy. They were members of the reformed church.

“Heckler. - In Spring Township on the 18th inst., Jacob Heckler, aged 67 years, 5 months and 28 days. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday morning, at half-past nine o’clock. Services at Bernhardt Adams’ school house; interment at Bernhardt Adams’ burial ground.”

Jacob Heckler, of Spring township, died on the 19th, in the 66th year of his age. The deceased was well known in this city. The funeral will take place to-morrow morning; Interment at Bernhart Adam's burial ground.
