She is shown on 1900 census with J. D. Lasley in Paducah, KY. Unknow maiden name at this time. Death information is from West Point, MS news clippings. 1900 census shows two children from this couple, neither living at that time.
Below from Jack Elliott Jr. regarding accounts of the death of Mrs. Lasley
Greg,
I was just going through my files for the Leader newspaper and found
another short obituary for the mysterious first Mrs. JDL. The other one
was in the other West Point newspaper The Dixie Press. This one is less
helpful than the DP obit, but thought you might like to have a copy.
It is very strange to have TWO obituaries for the same person with
neither providing her name.

Mr. J. D. Laslie has the sympathy of the community on the death of his
wife, which occurred Sunday afternoon, after a long illness. The
funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. T. Hudson Monday morning from
the residence on Broad street, after which the body was borne to the
cemetery and tenderly laid away, there to rest till the resurrection
morn.
