On 8 Sep 1850 when Andrew was 25, he married Mary Jane WALLACE, daughter of John WALLACE & Jane NELSON, in Indianola, Warren Co., IA. Born on 22 Jun 1825 in Putnam Co., IN. Mary Jane died in Knoxville, Marion Co., IA, on 19 Jan 1894; she was 68. Buried in North Greenwood, Knoxville, IA.

On 3 Jul 1857 when Levi Gardner was 24, he married Spicey Jane NICHOLS, daughter of Phillip Matthew NICHOLS (1802-1850) & Frances Poil “Fannie” BURCH (1806-1872), in Knoxville, Marion Co., IA. Born on 22 Sep 1836 in Barren Co., KY. Spicey Jane died in Marion Co., IA, on 23 Mar 1919; she was 82.

Born on 16 Oct 1835 in Stark Co., OH. Jacob died in Linn Co., OR, on 30 Mar 1906; he was 70. Buried in Franklin Butte Cemetery, Linn Co., OR.

"After his marriage Mr. Shilling abandoned work at his trade and purchased a farm in Marion Co, Ia, which he tilled until the year 1871 when he headed west. From Tehama, CA, which was his first stopping place upon reaching the west, he went by team to Benton Co, OR, but two years later came to Linn Co, OR. Pleased with the outlook, he felt sufficient confidence in the future of the county to make it his permanent residence and forthwith purchased the farm on which he now resides. In all local affairs he takes intelligent interest, and gives his support to the Democratic party. His services in a public capacity have been made manifest in his work as road supervisor and as school director, he affiliates with the First Day Adventists."

On 7 Oct 1858 when Margaret was 18, she married Ozias Denton NICHOLS, son of Phillip Matthew NICHOLS (1802-1850) & Frances Poil “Fannie” BURCH (1806-1872), in Marion Co., IA. Born on 20 Feb 1835 in Barren Co., KY. Ozias Denton died in Pomona, Franklin Co., KS, on 20 Mar 1914; he was 79.
