Terine was named for her mother’s mother and aunt, Terrine Elsie Wagner and Lucca Wagner. The spelling of Terine with one “r” is correct. My mother (Eleanor) told me she preferred that spelling over Terrine.
Birth certificate in possession of Greg Lasley. There are two undated obits from unknown Little Rock, Arkansas, newspapers. They read:
Terine Lucca Lasley - dies in hospital here. Terine Lucca Lasley, nine-day-old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William H. Lasley, 4000 Pike Ave., North Little Rock, died in a Little Rock hospital Tuesday. Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Harry Adams of Kimberton, Pa., and Mrs. J. P. (sic) Lasley of West Point, Miss. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ruebel funeral home. (Mrs. J. P. Lasley should be Mrs. J. D. Lasley)
The other obit is torn and part is missing but reads:
Terine Lucca Lasley - Terine Lucca Lasley, infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. H. Lasley of North Little Rock, died in a Little Rock hospital yesterday. Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Harry Adams of Kimberton, Pa., and Mrs. J. P. (sic) Lasley of West Point, Miss. The body (unreadable) Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services were to be conducted (unreadable) 2 p.m. in Oaklawn cemetery by the Rev. L. H. Roseman. Ruebel Funeral Home has charge of burial.
Terine never had a grave marker. On 29 June 2005, her two brothers, Greg & Jim Lasley went to Oaklawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas, and visited her gravesite for the first time. They brought a grave marker with them which was placed at the site, to be later set into concrete by the cemetery staff.
