Herman married Bertha Anna Wierschke  daughter of Gottlieb Wierschke and Beata Beccer on 23 Sep 1884 in Wrightstown, Brown County, Wisconsin. Bertha was born in Sep 1863 in Posen, Prussia, Germany. She died in 1940 in Polar, Langlade County, Wisconsin.
