Rev. Noe Died at Rowland
We regreat the sad news received at this office of the death of Rev J J Noe who died at his home in Rowland Sunday morning, June 1st. He had been in declining health for some time due to his advance age of 82. He moved to this county from Harlan County in 1909, where he farmed until 1924 and moved to Lincoln county. He is survived by a daughter and two brothers of this county, Mrs. Alice Simpson and Dave and J B Noe. Funeral services were held at Freedom church, conducted by Rev J W Mahan, pastor of the Baptist Church and burial followed in the cemetery near by.
REVEREND JARVIS JACKSON NOE son of THOMAS HARRIS NOE (1823-1903) and DELIA EMILY FEE (1830-1904) was born October 1848 in Harlan County, Kentucky, and died 12 June 1930 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. He married MATILDA HENSLEY 1869 in Harlan County, Kentucky. She was born 09 September 1847 in Kentucky, and died 14 January 1912 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. This is my Great Great Grandfather.
