JAMES "JIM" C POPE son of WILLIAM S POPE (1875-1950) and ABIGAIL MIDDLETON (1876-1950) was born January 1894 in Kentucky, and died 28 November 1922 in Harlan County, Kentucky. This particular picture was taken when Jim was in the Army. After he left the Army, he became Chief of Police, Harlan, Kentucky. He would later be killed in the line of duty in 1922.
