OCMS led by the running of Chris Neuner, #31, and
Mike Creek, #32, as each scored twice, rolled over
Charlestown. The Oldham County defense held
Charlestown to less than 50 yards rushing as they
again turned into a stellar performance. In the first
quarter, Chris Neuner scored from 12 yars out after
sharp, crisp, blocking by the offensive line. In the
second quarter, The Oldham Co. offense opened with
a very strong pace by the second touchdown of Chris
Neuner, and the extra point by a pass caught by Jeff
McGohon. The next touchdown was preceded by a
pass intercepted by Daniel White at the 44
yard line with four minutes, 46 seconds. It took a
little more than five minutes for the offense, led by
Mike Creek, and he scored from two yards out. The
extra point was scored by Keith Caswell and he
rushed the left side of Charlestown's defensive line.
That made the score 22-0 as the first half ended. The
third quarte score was held by a 60 yard pass
inception by Mike Creek as the Charlestown defense
stiffened. In the fourth quarter, each coach emptied
his bench, to give game experience to the younger
palyers. The scoring in the fourth quarter was the
product of three long runs by Doug Crisp as the
younger players proved that they could also play.
This made the final score 36-0 for another Colonel
domination.
