Fifty-seven local youngsters participated in the Tri-Star Basketball contest sponsered by the LaGrange Optimist Club on Saturday, December 15. Pictured above are t he winners in each category. Local chidren compete in basketball competition Fifty-seven local youngsters participated in the Trimble Basketball contest on Saturday, December 15. The contest was sponsored by the LaGrange Optimist Club. The youngsters competed in the ares of passing, dribbling and shooting. The following are the winners arranged by age groups; eight year old winners were Kevin Skulacowski and Denise White, runners-up were Doug Oak, Goddard Hampton, Corey Beaumont, Lisa Stotts, Rhonda Allen, and Kim Kelly; nine-year-old winners were Teddy Nigh and Charla Prather, runners up were Darrin Smith, Chris Milan, Brad Sexton, Tranisa Tooley, Kim Rockwell and Stephanie Cerlan; ten-year-old winners were Cory Simpson, Todd Vandenback and Sheryl Monohan, runners up were Jamie Keame, Dan White, Jason Dunn, Julie Hardin and Tina Tooley; eleven-year-old winners were Craig Peterson and Diana White, runners up were Mark Foley, Stanley Bullock, Skip Jacovino and Pam Francis; twelve-year-old winner was Milton Peterson and runner-up was LaMar Hobbs; thirteen-year-old winner was Ricky Oldham and runners up were Steve Donnel, Loren Oldham and Chuck Dairus. The winners will advance in the competition to be held in Louisville. | |
