RICHARD OGLESBY WILL

                                 Dated August 17, 1798 from Will Book 1 page 84 Jefferson Co. Kentucky

  I Richard Oglesby of Jefferson County and State of Kentucky, do herby make my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say;

First after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses, I give to my wife Nancy Oglesby all my estate both real and personal for and during the term of her natural live or widowhood, and after her deceas, I give the same to my last children herein after mentioned; that is to say Jesse Oglesby, Washington Oglesby, Susannah Ware Oglesby, Matilday Oglesby, Richard Oglesby, Woodford Oglesby, Rachel Oglesby, Jacob Oglesby, & Willis Oglesby, equally to be divided amongst them and to be enjoyed by them & their heirs for ever on. I lastly do hereby constitute and appoint my family Joseph Oglesby and Nancy Oglesby my wife, executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me here to for made- in witness where of I have hereunto let my hand and affix my seal this 17 day of August in the year of our lord 1798.
