Marriage Bonds and Consents
Martha Mount & Robert Weakley
Know all now by these present that we Robert Weakley and John Mount are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of £50 for the payment of which will and truly be made good we bind ourselves our heirs Exet do pointy and severally firmly by these present sealed with our seals and dated this 12 day of December 1840 Tho Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Robert Weakley is about to obtain a license to marry Martha Mount daughter of John Mount of Oldham County who personally consents thereto.
Now if there should be no lawful cause to obstruct the marriage intended to be solemnized between the above named persons then this obligation to be void else to view aim in full force and virtue.

To any minister of the Gospel legally authorized to celebrate the rites of matrimony. You are herby authorized to join together in the holy bonds of matrimony according to the custom of your church, Mr. Robert Weakley and Miss Martha Mount daughter of John Mount of this county who personally consents thereto. The said Robert Weakley having executed bond with said surety in my office according to law. Given under my hand as clerk of said court the 12th day of December 1840
