Transcribed by Cindy year 2002 Will of Upton Edmondson 1771 Amelia Co VA Amelia Co VA WB 2, p 9-11 Dated May 25, 1771, proved October 24, 1771 In the name of God, Amen I Upton Edmondson of the Parish of Nottoway and County of Amelia do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give my body to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and my worldly Estate I give in manner and from following Imprimis It is my will and desire that all my Just Debts and funeral expenses be paid out of the Profits of my Estate Item I give an bequeath to my Son Benjamin Edmondson the Plantation he now lives on containing Two hundred and four acres also two Negro Fellows named Harry and Tom to him and his heirs and assigns forever Item I give an bequeath unto my Daughter Constant Suggett wife of Edgcombe Suggett the Plantation she now lives on containing Three hundred and eighty five Acres in Meclinburg County allso a Negro fellow named Toney to her and her heirs forever allso after the death of my wife Mary Edmondson I give and bequeath to my above named daughter a Negro girl named Mili to her and her heirs forever Item I give an bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Robertson Three Negroe girls Chloe, Phillis, & Sue with their increase to her and her heirs forever. I likewise give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary after the decease of my wife a Negroe Boy named Stephen & the Plantation whereon I now live to her and her heirs forever.
