1864 - Edmundson deeds have not been followed to this date, but an "Edmondson" house shows on the 1864 Gilmer Confederate map of Lunenburg. The best way to locate where is was(?) on a current Topozone map is to go to the article on the Blackwell House ("Jones" on the 1864 map) at the VAGenWeb Lunenburg site. At the Blackwell article is a link to Section 9 of the Gilmer map (showing "Edmondson" north of "Jones") and a link at the coordinates taking one to the Blackwell house on current Topozone map, Route 627. Move your cursor up Route 627 to where it crosses Crooked Run. The 1864 "Edmondson" house should have been about there.
