These family members served in World War I .

My grandfather Private Lawrence Cowling, served in both 1st and 2nd World wars.
My grand uncle 2nd Lieutenant Lionel Percy Tate, killed in Action, France, 4th November 1918
My grand uncle Lance Corporal Norman Tate, killed in Action, France, 6th October 1918
My grand uncle Herbert Hopton
My 3rd cousin twice removed Lance Corporal Thomas Hopton, killed in Action, Gallipoli, 7th August 1915

Also a special mention to my grandmother Daisy Hopton and her sister Lucy, who both worked in an amunition factory in Armley during World War I.
