(My Great-Grandfather)
John liked traveling. He regularly went to the goosefair at Nottingham and visited his daughter in London in 1928. He also went to Edinburgh, where he bought 2 decorative plates from an exhibition in the 1920's.
He saved the life of the child of his friend who was a police inspector, who had got a coin stuck in his throat. John didn't like to have his photo taken, but did have one taken in his friend's uniform. (Sadly we don't know where this photo is now).
