To the Registrar of West Riding of Country of York or his lawful deputy.
A Memorial of an indenture bearing the date 13th day of August 1844, made between:
George Wilkinson of Holbeck in the parish of Leeds in the county of York, cloth dresser, (the eldest son and heir at law of George Wilkinson, late of Holbeck aforesaid, cloth dresser, who was the surviving devisee in the trust named in the last will and testament of Joshua Appleyard, late of Wortley, in the parish of Leeds beforesaid, clothier deceased, of the first part.

Isaac Appleyard, late of Wortley aforesaid, but now of Rattsburgh in the Country of Clinton and late of New York in the United States of America, cloth manufacturer. Joseph Stephenson of Holbeck aforesaid, clothier. George Richardson of Wortley aforesaid, clothier. William Knapton, cloth dresser and Henry Scott, warehouseman, both of Holbeck aforesaid. Benjamin Matthews of Tingley in the parish of West Ardsley in the said county of York, Bar Keeper of the second part.

George Appleyard of Wortley aforesaid, clothier of the third part.

William Fowell of Holbeck aforesaid, clothier, a trustee nominated by the said George Appleyard, Bar owner, of the forth part
and William Midgely of Wortley aforesaid, clothier, (a trustee nominated by the said George Appleyard to take assignment of a certain term of years) of the sixth part.

Of and concerning:
Firstly all that piece or parcel of ground, formerly lot 4, part of a certain close in Wortley called Mill Green Lower Close. Said parcel of ground contains in length to the front from East to West 10 yards and in breadth from North to South at the East end 10 yards and the West end there of 10 yards 1 foot and 2 inches. Contains 102 square yards or thereabouts……
