Leeds St. Peter’s 18th January 1815 George Appleyard, clothier of this parish and Mary Hall, Spinster of this parish, were married by banns on 18th January 1815, by me Joseph Bushley, curate. This marriage was solumnised between us: George Appleyard X Mary Hall’s mark. In the presence of us: X Sarah Appleyard’s mark Robert Hargrave

To the Registrar of West Riding of Country of York or his lawful deputy.
A Memorial of an indenture bearing the date 1st day of August 1866, made between:
George Appleyard of Wortley in the parish of Leeds in the county of York, clothier, in the first part
And John Dundersdale of Holbeck aforesaid, draper.
Of and concerning
Firstly all that piece or parcel of ground, formerly lot 4, part of a certain close in Wortley called Mill Green Lower Close. Said parcel of ground contains in length to the front from East to West 10 yards and in breadth from North to South at the East end 10 yards and the West end there of 10 yards 1 foot and 2 inches. Contains 102 square yards or thereabouts.
Also all that messuage or tenement and premises with the workshop over the same, which said premises were formerly occupied by Joshua Appleyard afterwards by the said George Appleyard and William Naylor, but now by the said George Appleyard.
And Secondly all that the one undivided third part or share of him the said George Appleyard and in all piece or parcel of ground the said close in Wortley aforesaid, called Mill Green Lower close and adjoining on the West the said last mentioned messuage or tenement in the East and South, now belonging to Michael Atkinson, and on the North by the Highway leading from Holbeck to Wortley ….
