Charles Briggs

(My 2xGreat-Grandfather)

Charles Briggs was definitely 'upwardly mobile', he seems to have been successful as a dyer and bought some property.
When he retired he was able to live from the money he received in rent. He called himself a gentleman, (perhaps a little pretentious ?)
