THE MOO COW MOO

The Moo-Cow Moo

My Papa held me up to the Moo-Cow Moo
So close I could almost touch.
And I fed him a couple o' times or two,
And I wasn't a "Fraidy-Cat"____much.

But__when my Papa, he goes into the house,
And my Mamma, she goes in too.
I just keep still - like a little mouse,
'Cause the Moo-Cow Moo might moo!

The Moo-Cow Moo has a tale__like a rope!
And its raveled down where it grows!
And it's just like feeling a piece of soap,
All over that Moo-Cow's nose!

And the Moo-Cow Moo has the mostest fun,
Jus' swingin' his tale about
But he opens his mouth___and then I run,
'Cause that's where the "MOO" comes out!

And the Moo-Cow Moo has chairs on his head,
And his eyes stick out of their place.
And the nose of the Moo-Cow Moo is
Spreaded all over the Moo-Cow's face!

And his feet ain't nothin' but fingernails.
And his Mamma__don't keep 'em cut.
And he gives folks milk in water pails,
If he don't keep his handles shut.

And the Moo-Cow Moo has the mostest fun
Jus' swingin' his tale about.
But__he opens his mouth___and then I run,
'Cause that's where the "MOO" comes out!

NOTE: My mother read this poem to me when I was a little boy. I also read it to my boys, Rick & Ryan, when they were little. I have never seen a child yet that didn't like it.
