Barony, Lanarkshire aged 41, a farmer (of 112 acres employing 3
men & 2 girls), with wife Jane aged 33, and children Helen
aged 10, Archibald aged 9, John aged 6, Jane aged 3, James aged 2,
and Maria aged 1. Also there were dairymaid Mary Ann McMechan
aged 26 from Argyll, and Catherine Docherty, aged 15, servant
from Old Monkland.
