ARMS 3273:..Per bend raguly Azure and Argent, in sinister chief a horse forcene and in dexter base a rose slipped and leaved counterchanged; at chief point an inescutcheon Argent charged with a lily slipped and leaved Azure.

MOTTO:..CAST NO ASPERSIONS.

SYMBOLISM:..The raguly alludes to the difficulties the Spurgin family faced during the Depression Era and the Dust Bowl, which forced the family to move out of Oklahoma...Blue and gray were the favorite colors of Mary's father, Edward Everett Spurgin; hence, the use of Azure and Argent...The horse forcene and the rose allude to Edward Spurgin's early career as a horse trader and his interest is rose gardening...The lily has been used in heraldry to allude to Miriam (Mary), the mother of Yeshua (Jesus), and is used here as a cant alluding to the armiger's first name, Mary...The motto is a cant on the armiger's maiden name, Spurgin.

ARMS 3262:..Gyronny of Or (gold) and Sable (black), an inescutcheon Gules (red), charged with a tent of the first (i.e., gold), with eight hawk's bells in orle, counterchanged.

MOTTO:..NUNQUAM OBLIVISCAR...(I will never forget).

SYMBOLISM:..The gyronny alludes to the motif used by numerous Campbell armigers...The red inescutcheon represents the State of Oklahoma, which means "red earth", where Nina grew up. ..The golden tent alludes to the Golden State of California in which Nina resides...The eight hawk's bells represent Nina's four child - Dennis, Virgina, Clint Jr. and Kenneth and her children-in-law (i.e., Mary, Willie, Lynda and Chris) through whom her grandchildren descend.

ARMS 3204:..Or (gold), an inescutcheon Gules (red), charged with a crest coronet of the first (i.e., gold), within an orle of eight (8) martlets Azure (blue).

CREST:..Out of a crest coronet Or (gold), a pyramid of laurel leaves, arranged 4, 3, 2 and 1, Vert (green).

MANTLING:..Gules (red) and Or (gold).

MOTTO:..NON SIMULOA ERGO NIHIL ME PAENITET...(I make no pretence, therefore I have nothing to regret).

BADGE 3205:..A laurel leaf Vert (green), enfiled by a ducal coronet.

SYMBOLISM:..The "martlet & inescutcheon" motif alludes to the armorial Maydwells of Northants...The eight martlets represent the eight generations of American Madewell's from whom I descend - James, John Sr., John Jr., James Benjamin, James Alexander, Elex, Clint and Dennis...The gold shield alludes to California, the Sunshine State, where I was raised...The red inescutcheon represents the state in which I live - Oklahoma, which means "red earth". ..The coronet on the inescutcheon represents my name, Steven, which comes from the Greek stephanos meaning "crowned one"...The ducal coronet in the crest is made of strawberry leaves, which alludes to my grandfather's work as a berry farmer and the ten laurel leaves represent the ribbons I earned during my 10 1/2 years in the United States Air Force.
