CREST:..A soldier in armour from the middle upwards, brandishing a drawn sword in his right hand all Proper (natural color), and sustaining on his left arm as shield Azure (blue), charged with a unicorn's head couped Argent (silver), horned and maned Or (gold).

SUPPORTERS:..Dexter, a naked Indian wreathed round the middle with linen, holding in his dexter hand a bow bent, with a quiver of arrows hanging at his back Proper (natural color); sinister, a Spaniard in his proper habit Proper (natural color).

Arms as the preceding, on a chief Argent (silver), a mount Vert (green), inscribed "AVA" in letters of gold, thereon a Burmese stockade Proper (natural color), between a representation of the gold cross and clasp conferred on him for his services in the Peninsular War, on the dexter pendent from a ribbon Gules (red), fimbriated Azure (blue), and on the sinister pendent from a ribbon Azure (blue), the badge of the Portuguese Order of the Tower and Sword.

NOTE:..Descended from a son by his fourth marriage of the first Laird of Glenorchy.   The representative m. the heiress of Loundoun and was made Earl of Loudoun in 1633.   Lawers went for a time to a younger branch of whom was Sir JAMES CAPMBELL, of Lawers, Lyon King of Arms under Cromwell.
