WERE THESE OUR ANCESTORS?Source: I found this family while searching on the LDS site. The names of the parents caught my eye...they are very similar to the names that Curt Fritz transcribed from Henry & Wilhelmina's marriage record. Plus, the christening date of one of the children, Johann Henrich Henckel, is 4 days after the birth of our ancestor, Johann Heinrich Henkel. Is this him? Are these his parents, brothers and sisters? UPDATE: May 1, 2009 - Yes, this is our Johann Heinrich and his siblings. Thanks to Freddy Kothieringer and Daniel Bamberger of Germany who found and translated the church records I now have the documentation. |
