Grayson Coat of Arms

GRAYSON COAT OF ARMS

Motto:  Safer by This

The four emblems on the shield and above the helmet are ancient fetterlocks, and they symbolize security.

The yellow “stripe” in the middle is a Fess symbolizing
“Military Belt or Girdle of Honor.”

The color red stands for “Military fortitude and magnanimity.”

The gold metal on the helmet means generosity, and the silver or gray color is for peace and sincerity.

This is one of the oldest registered coats of arms for Grayson, but it is not proven to belong to our Grayson family. We did use it at the Grayson  Reunion and further research may show that it does belong to our family!
