Alfred Richardson, Application to Eastern Cherokee Tribe

Part 1 of 2

Following  is the Rejected application filed in 1906 by Alfred Richardson, Jr. son of Alfred Richardson & Eliza Silver. There is lots of great family info in it that can help to verify names & relationships for some, including additional info indicating that he not only  had sisters named Emily, but also one named Lucretia, which clears up a mystery I'd encountered about the identities of several people from the family.  His info about his grandmother being named Elizabeth instead of "Dorcas" (or "Darcas") however, is puzzling and may be the results of his confusion at the time since all previous records & census clearly show her as Darcas, identified as Darcas Boone daughter of Lewis Boone, in the 1896 Dawes Application of William Boone, whose mother Caroline, was Darcas' sister. Alfred also differed in his 1896 application where he stated his grandmother was Darcas Pope.  He did leave out several of his Aunts and Uncles on the 1906 list and it is likely a matter of  mixing up his Aunt Elizabeth Richardson James with his grandmother's name.
