THE HELEN BECKNER MOBLEY RATHBONE LEDGER
| I obtained the names from a work-ledger book
kept by Helen Beckner
Mobley Rathbone, a private duty nurse. I am not sure if she was an
RN or LPN. She cared for women just after giving birth, surgery
patients, cardiac patients, and others with various illnesses. The
book has fewer than 20 pages filled (from an 86-page ledger). It
shows the year Helen married. It also has a note about the army
(was Helen in the army or was her husband?)
From further information, Helen was listed in the Social Security
Death Index under Helen RATHBONE: SSN# 566-34-3969 zip 15301 Washington PA. Born 24 Aug 1919/Died 17 Feb 2002 State of issue: California.
Volunteer-helpers looked for information about each person in the
Social Security Death Index to make sure I am
not posting information about living persons. *If your name
appears on the list, I apologize--I will remove it if you want me to do
so-- just send me
an email.
I have made two lists to keep the diagnosis private. In the
majority of cases, the patients had non-life-threatening medical
problems. Some patients "expired" (died) during the care
period--I left this notation on the webpages. Some patients were
infants or children. At least one was a college student in the
college infirmary.

Pages 25 to the end are blank.
NOTE!!! Each page has Name, Page. I added Person #
after page number.
I realized I reversed Page # Person Number on some pages. I've
corrected
these on THIS page, but I have not corrected them on the linked pages.

The background was chosen specifically to
emphasize the matriarchal role of women in "the life" of
children and families, and the resilience of all the women of
southwestern Pennsylvania. |
