THANK YOUS...AND...CREDITS
Special acknowledgement to my genealogy teacher, co-researcher,
my grandmother Ruth
Lane McGary (deceased). As a teenager, I didn't think my grandparents
knew much about anything. But I came to learn that my Grandmother was much
an intellectual who had an extensive background in history, religion and
genealogical know-how. She taught me so much, and passed on her love of
family to me.
Special acknowledgement to my co-researcher, co-author,and
co-trouble-maker, my sister Cathy
Caldwell (deceased). Cathy and I shared a lot.
I want to say a special "Thank you" to a friend, Janet,
cousin to my friend Vicki. I spent a year looking at HTML and thinking I'd
never master it. But life gives us what we need, when we need it. As
happens so often, one friend (Vicki) made an introduction to someone they knew
(Janet)... and I got the help I needed. Without Janet's help, I would not
have completed these web pages. Since making my first very plain web page
in August 2005, I've moved on to re-make my site. I hope you like the new look.

The background was chosen specifically to
emphasize the matriarchal role of women in "the life" of
children and families, and the resilience of all the women of
southwestern Pennsylvania. |
