Location of Cooper farm: Located in Fallowfield Twp., you can reach it easily by getting off at the Centerville exit off of I-70, and you will be on 481, just keep following that road up over the hill after you pass Redd's Beach (on the left) and go down the hill till you come to a "Y" with a triangle in the middle, bear left, and go up over the next little rise, and it lies right on the left - just before the over head train trestle.

You can see the Cooper farm on the 1876 Caldwell map. I'm going to try to get some of the old - still existing - farms when I get the time. -- nacs

The background was chosen specifically to emphasize the matriarchal role of women in "the life" of children and families, and the resilience of all the women of southwestern Pennsylvania.
