Another Plane Forced Down In This County
Approximately 10 hours after a big Capital Airlines plane made an emergency "belly" landing in Hanover township yesterday morning, the pilot of a small training plane was forced to bring his plane down in the darkness of early last night, near Camp Buffalo on the Brush Run road. A Cessna 120, piloted by a GI student on a cross-country flight from Monroe, Mich., to Akron, O., was landed on the Dave SUNDAY farm on Route 331, several miles off Route 31. His gasoline supply was exhauster. The propeller was broken and the tail damaged in the landing which took out a Buffalo Village telephone line and two fences. The pilot, reported to have registered at a Washington hotel under the name of Edward ROSS, of Monroe, Mich., was unhurt. |
