C. Garey Dickson Sr.
C. Garey Dickson Sr., 83, of the George Washington Apartments in Washington, Pa., Monday,
April 15, in Presbyterian Medical Center.
Mr. Dickson was born May 1, 1901, in Pittsburgh a son of the late Robert Garey
[Dickson] and Sarah Croswell Dickson.
A retired architect, Mr. Dickson was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, American Institute or Architects,
Elks Lodge 886, and the last charter member of the Arms Club of Washington.
Surviving are his widow, Delorian Lewis Dickson, at home; a son, C. Garey Dickson Jr. of Washington, a daughter,
Mrs. Jay (Reba?) Z___ of Monongahela; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home in Washington.
NOTE:
The American beaux arts building of the YMCA was designed by C. Garey Dickson, a local architect. It was constructed in 1929.
