Pension approved by the Grayson County Pension Board on 5/22/1908.

Then age 37, native of Grayson Co., dark comp. and hair, grey eyes, 5'11". Age 45, Farmer, 550, 560, 1870 GCC. Granted pension on 6/2/1900 by the Grayson Co. Pension Board.

HALSEY, ROBERT McCOY, 16, 1860 GCC HH#1216, Co. C2, 21st VA Cav. Enl. in 1863. Taken POW at Fisher's Hill, VA on 9/22/64. Exchanged from Point Lookout on 3/17/65, sent to Aiken's Landing, VA. Pres. at Camp Lee, VA on 3/20/65. From Grayson Co. Age 24, 1870 GCC. D. 3/2/1909 of appendicitis.

HALSEY, THOMAS, 23, Laborer, 1860 GCC HH#1356, Co. I, 51st VA, Enl. on 6/28/61 at Fox Creek. Discharged on 7/18/62 for predisposition to phythsis pulmonalis, then age 20, native of Grayson Co., dark comp., black eyes, black hair, 5'4". ReEnl. on 4/30/63 in Grayson Co. Died at Point Lookout, MD as a POW on 4/22/65 of dropsy.

HALSEY, WILLIAM, 26, Laborer, 1860 GCC HH#1213, 1st Lt., Co. K, 37th NC Inf. Born in Ashe Co., Res. of Alleghany Co., where he Enl. at age 23. Elected 2nd Lt. on 9/15/61. Elected 1st Lt. on 4/16/62. Taken POW near Richmond on 6/28/62, confined at Fort Columbus, NY Harbor and Fort Warren, Boston Harbor. Exchanged at Fort Monroe on 8/5/62. AWOL from 12/62, dropped from the rolls. Age 35, Farmer, 1800, 553, 1870 GCC.

HALSEY, WILLIAM C., 24, 1860 GCC HH#1358, Corp., Co. I, 51st VA, Enl. on 6/28/61 at Fox Creek. Taken POW at Waynesboro on 3/2/65, sent to Fort Delaware on 3/12/65. Released there on 6/20/65, Res. of Grayson Co., fair comp., light hair, brown eyes, 5'8". B. 1831. Age 28, Farm Laborer, 1870 GCC. D. 1901 at Mouth of Wilson. Pension approved on 2/19/1909 by the Grayson Co. Pension Board.
