Description:
No other state in the Union can boast the depth and breadth of vital records sources available in Massachusetts. This database is a record of marriages and intentions to marry from Boston, Massachusetts covering the years 1700 to 1809. It was created from records compiled by the Record Commissioners of the City of Boston. In 1892, the Record Commissioners Department was consolidated with the Registry Department in Boston, which published the records in book format. The database provides, at a minimum, the names of bride and groom, the date of marriage, and the name of the person who performed the marriage.
